Welcome – Come In, Sit Down & Let’s Chat for Awhile

Welcome!

Recently I had to decide what I was going to do next with my life. That’s one of those questions that sounds really exciting until it actually happens. Then panic and doubt begin to set in and we worry about making the wrong choices. In the midst of my turmoil, I began to think about how precious time really is. It’s too precious to waste even a second of it. So whatever I was going to do, I knew it needed to be valuable and to really make a difference in the world. After a great deal of soul searching, I came to the conclusion that it was time to work on fulfilling my lifelong dream of being a professional communicator. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with anyone who can learn and benefit from it. So come on in, sit down, and stay awhile. It will be worth your time! I’m Dr. Terri Wenner, an educator, a registered nurse, an encourager, and a friend. Welcome to my blog, it’s wonderful to meet you!

Let me tell you a little more about what you’ll find here, what you can expect from me in the future, and how you can get involved.

Who is Dr. Terri Wenner?

I’m a happily married mother of two adult children and currently live in Eastern Pennsylvania. My husband, Russ, and I recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. Physically, my 4 foot 9 inch frame can be deceiving, but don’t be fooled, I’m really a petite powerhouse. In fact, a coworker once told me that I reminded her of Florence Nightingale who attributed her success to never giving or taking any excuses. All that being said, I am a passionate educator, a motivating encourager, a courageous risk-taker, and a lover of spontaneous humor!

What does Dr. Terri know about?

I have been a Registered Nurse for over 25 years and a Nurse Educator for 10. At this point I have cared for more patients than I could count, and taught over 1000 student nurses. So I think it’s safe to say that I’m an expert in both healthcare and education. My doctoral degree is in Education with a focus on Organizational Leadership. If you are interested in more details, feel free to check out my LinkedIn profile link for “Teresa Wenner“. On a more personal level, I have overcome several physical, emotional, and spiritual obstacles and believe that there is always hope for improvement no matter how grim things might look. I have battled and won over depression, obesity, and spiritual distress to name a few of the biggies.

How often can you expect new content?

I will be blogging twice weekly, usually on Mondays & Thursdays. Blog posts will focus on learning something new and vary between physical, emotional, and spiritual health issues, current events, and helpful life lessons.  I will also be recording a podcast every other week called “Breaking Thru Health Barriers”.

What can we look forward to in the future?

I have started writing my very first book and will keep you updated on my progress. I’ve chosen to self-publish, so as soon as I’m finished I’ll be quickly getting it into the hands of those interested. I will be looking for volunteer readers to provide feedback before it goes into publication. So if this interests you, be sure to let me know. Volunteer readers get an electronic copy of the book for free!

How can you get involved?

I’m sure you have noticed that finding quality resources online can take some digging. So, if you find this information helpful, be sure to tell a friend. Word of mouth is always the best form of advertising and I would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the link to my website, or mention me on Facebook or Twitter. All the links are listed below for your convenience. Be sure to sign up for site updates and receive my free gift “A Personal Health Status Check-up”. Wrap-up Question

The thoughts, opinions, and needs of my readers and listeners are a top priority to me, so let me know what health related topics you would be interested in hearing more about.

I’m so glad you decided to stop by today. Hope you’ll come again soon.
